PM-JAY Insurance Rs. 5 lakh per year for secondary and tertiary care for more than 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families (about 50 crore beneficiaries). There is no limit on the size of the family under this scheme. This program was earlier known as National Health Care Program (NHPS) and was earlier renamed as PM-JAY. The project was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 23 September 2018.

The Family Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 (SECC 2011) is based on risk and occupational criteria for rural and urban areas respectively. This scheme was included in the then Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) launched in 2008. Hence, the coverage mentioned under PM-JAY also includes families covered by RSBY but not in SECC 2011 database. PM-JAY is fully funded by the government and the cost of implementation is shared between the central and state governments.

1. To download your PMJAY Ayushman Bharat Golden Card, first of all visit the official website of Ayushman Bharat. After successfully opening the website, you will get the page shown below, you have to click on the menu bar here.
2. After that, you will see the service of portals inside the menu here, you have to click on Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) service out of these services. On clicking on this service, another page will open in front of you.
3. Now you will see the option of PMJAY CARD Download in the menu bar above this new page, you have to click on it.
4. As soon as you click on it, now you will get the option to select Aadhar card inside the new page.
5. After selecting the Aadhar card, first, you have to select the PMJAY scheme under the scheme.
6. Now you will be asked to run your name here, so choose your state.
7. After selecting the state, you have to enter the Aadhar number here and click on the generated OTP by putting a checkmark.
8. After this an OTP will come on your Aadhaar linked mobile number, you will have to verify that OTP.
9. Your Ayushman card will come here as soon as the OTP is verified, now you can download your Ayushman Bharat card from here.
