BCom Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the B.Com course are listed below:

• The student should be 12th pass
• The student must have studied commerce in both 11th and 12th class The candidate must have studied commerce in class 11th and 12th from a recognized board with Mathematics and English as main subjects and Business, Economics, and Accounts as elective subjects.
• The student has to fulfill the eligibility criteria to obtain the minimum cut-off percentage/marks for enrollment in the university or college.
• Note to Remember: The factors affecting the minimum cut-off marks for B.Com are:
• – Overall percentage of students who passed commerce in their board exam
• – The highest score in commerce stream
• Average score obtained in commerce stream
• – Minimum cut-off marks of previous years

BCom Admission Process

B.Com admission process is merit-based or through some entrance exams by the university you want to apply. It varies from university to university or state to state. But there are some similar steps for admission in B.Com which are important for you to remember:

• Select the universities you wish to apply to and register on their website.
• Download the online form, fill all the details and attach all the required documents.
• Make sure you have attached your 12th mark sheet.
• Double-check all your details to see if they have been filled in correctly.
• Submit the form and wait for the college to respond or release your admission list
• (If you are late in submitting the application form, some universities have seats left with admission. If you directly contact the college, you may get admission. However, the fee structure may differ.)

The fees of B.Com courses range from INR 10,000 – INR 2,00,000. Fees in government colleges are less compared to private colleges. Also, the fees of General B.Com. Below B.Com. in a certain specialization. The fee structure varies according to the type of institute and the duration of the course.
