Constitution Of India

Here in this post, we are presenting the Constitution Of India PDF. The Constitution of India (IAST: Indian Constitution) is the supreme law of India. The document sets out the framework that demarcates the fundamental political code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions and fundamental rights. , lays down the Directive Principles and Duties of the Citizens. It is the longest written national constitution in the world. It provided constitutional supremacy (not parliamentary supremacy, as it was created by a Constituent Assembly rather than Parliament) and was adopted by its people with a proclamation in its preamble. Parliament cannot disobey the Constitution.

Dr. B.R. on India’s 2015 Postage Stamp. Ambedkar and the Constitution of India. It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950.  The Constitution replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the country’s fundamental governing document, and the Dominion of India became the Republic of India. To ensure constitutional autonomy, its framers repealed earlier acts of the British Parliament in Article 395. India celebrates 26 January as Republic Day in its constitution. The constitution declares India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic, assures justice, equality, and liberty to its citizens, and seeks to promote fraternity. The original 1950 Constitution has been preserved in a helium-filled case in the Parliament House in New Delhi. The words “secular” and “socialist” were added to the Preamble by the 42nd Amendment Act in 1976 during the Emergency.
