Here in this post, we are presenting Mid Day Meal Scheme PDF. The Mid-Day Meal Scheme is a school meal program in India designed to improve the nutritional levels of school-age children across the country. This program is implemented by the government, government-aided, local bodies, education guarantee schemes, and Madrasas and Maktabs supported under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and National Child Labor Project supplies free lunches on working days to children of primary and upper primary classes in schools. Run by the Ministry of Labour. Serving 120 million children in over 1.27 million schools and Education Guarantee Scheme centers, the mid-day meal scheme is the largest of its kind in the world.

The mid-day meal scheme has been implemented in the Union Territory of Puducherry under the French administration since 1930.  In independent India, the mid-day meal scheme was first introduced in Tamil Nadu, led by former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj, did it? In the early ’60s. By 2002, the scheme was implemented in all states under the order of the Supreme Court of India  The scheme has been renamed as PM-POSHAN (Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman) scheme in September 2021 by MoE (Ministry of Education), which is the nodal ministry for the scheme. The central government also announced that an additional 24 lakh students pursuing pre-primary education in government and government-aided schools would also be covered under the scheme by 2022.
