• ‘Naan Muthalvan’ is a new skill development and guidance program for the school, college students, alumni, and youth of Tamil Nadu not only in studies but also in life.
• The main objective of the ‘I am Pratham’ project is to provide 10 lakh youth to the country in a year by improving their education, knowledge, thinking, energy and skills.
• The main attraction of this program is to identify and nurture the individual talent of the students of Government and Government aided schools, colleges, and universities.
• Students will be guided on what to study next, where to study and how to study.
• Interview preparation training will be given with special training to write in English, speak fluently and acquire personal skills in Tamil.
• Training classes like coding, robotics will be conducted for the school students in line with the current technological developments.
• Summer special classes will be conducted with outstanding achievers in each field. Psychiatrists and health practitioners will be consulted on solid food intake as well as training on fitness, style, dress, etiquette, and sociality.
• Awareness about Tamil culture and heritage will be created among the students.
• For this, all training, direct training from the best trainers, online training, training in their college, necessary training will be given according to district training.
• A counseling center will be set up in each school. For this, a separate arts program and curriculum will be developed and a series of classes will be conducted for the students studying from 9th to 12th standard.
• A system of mentoring will be started with the alumni studying in government schools.
• The scheme will facilitate foreign language teaching to college students of their choice to ensure overseas employment.
• Government Vocational Training Centers to be upgraded to Industry 4.0 standard.
• Enrollment in top institutes/reputed universities/skill development institutes of the country will be ensured through this series of training based on the aptitude and interest of the students.
• Jobs in Tamil Nadu government and institutions, jobs in central government, and jobs in other states will be published as announcements under this scheme, and training will be coordinated.
• There will be continuous monitoring of the trained beneficiaries for employment and its continuation. Along with this, integrated employment camps will also be organized according to the need.
• A portal will be created which will contain all the details of the project.
