Funding lists were sent to public higher education institutions. “The list includes the names of students who are eligible for NSFAS funding, in accordance with NSFAS funding criteria,” the fund said. Students are advised to consult their institution’s funding office to inquire about this list. It is also worth noting that those with successful status must attend their institution or register. You do not have to pay a registration fee as the costs of the subsidized students are exempt.

The NSFAS board welcomes the commitment of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr. Blade Nzimande to fund all eligible students of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Scholarship Scheme admitted to such funded programs as TVET Public Colleges and Universities in 2022.

For the 2022 application cycle, NSFAS has received 906 429 applications. To be eligible for NSFAS funding – an applicant must be a South African citizen, and come from a family with a combined annual household income of not more than R350,000 per year (in the case of students with disabilities, the combined annual family income does not exceed R600 000 per year). 30% (276 748) of applicants received a real-time decision when submitting an application through the myNSFAS portal.

The list includes names of students who are eligible for NSFAS funding under the NSFAS funding criteria.

All NSFAS-eligible students with successful funding status are advised to proceed to their respective institutions, where they have been admitted, to register for the 2022 academic year.

NSFAS student enrollment fee has been waived, in line with subsidized higher education policy. This means that no NSFAS Funded Student/ Pdf Download NSFAS 2022 Funding List whose name is on the NSFAS 2022 Funding List should be asked to pay for the registration.

How to apply for NSFAS account

• Log into your “MyNSFAS” account on www.nsfas.org.za​
• Click the ‘Track Funding Progress’ option
• Check the application progress tabs
• If your application status reflects an unsuccessful message, you may submit an appeal by clicking on the ‘Submit Appeal Tab’
• Once you are on the ‘Application Appeal’ page, you can see the reason for your unsuccessful application status
• You are then able to motivate in writing the reasons for appealing your application status
• Your motivation must not exceed 1000 characters (words including spaces)
• Then upload certified supporting documents to support your motivation. You may submit up to 5 documents.
• Then click ‘Submit Appeal ‘
• You may now track the progress of the appeal on your myNSFAS account.
