Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Form PDF – Eligibility Criteria

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has laid down a route map and also clarified the eligibility criteria that a potential applicant needs to fulfill. It has also taken the help of some of the major banks of the country to provide loans for construction under PMAY. Banks provide loans at comparatively low rates as the government pays the balance amount on behalf of the applicant. This model of subsidized loans helps economically weaker people to build houses. Here’s what it looks like:

• The applicant’s family should not own a house in any part of the country.
• In the case of a married couple, sole or joint ownership transactions are allowed, and only one subsidy will be received in both options.
• The applicant’s family must not have taken advantage of any housing-related schemes established by the Government of India

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Loan Eligibility for MIG

• The applicant should not own a pucca house in any part of India in his own name or in the name of his family members.
• The applicant should not have received any Central / State assistance from the Government of India under any housing scheme
• Ownership of an adult female member of the property is desirable
• The location of the property should fall under all statutory cities as per the 2011 census or adjacent planning area (updated from time to time by the government).

• Bank details showing the address of the borrowers of any commercial nationalized bank
• Credit card statement not older than 3 months

• Copy of sale deed of property (residence), if owned
• Municipal or property tax receipt
• Post Office Savings Bank Account Details
• Pension or Family Pension Payment Order (PPO) issued by the government to retired employees. Departments or Public Sector Undertakings, if they contain
• Letter of allotment of accommodation from the employer issued by the State or Central Government.
• Departments, statutory or regulatory bodies, and public sector undertakings, scheduled commercial banks, financial institutions, and listed companies. Similarly, leave and license agreements with such employers allotting official accommodation
• Documents issued by the Government Letter issued by the Department of Foreign Jurisdiction and the Foreign Embassy or Mission in India
