• The Finance Minister said that the budget has been prepared after receiving 20,384 suggestions through the government’s portal and e-mail. It focused on several sectors including health and education. • Punjab Youth Entrepreneur Program has been proposed to be started. Under this, students of class 11th will be able to give their business proposals. Under this program, an amount of Rs 2,000 will be given to every student. The government will set up 16 new medical colleges in five years.
• The Finance Minister said ‘I propose a budget expenditure of Rs 1,55,860 crore for the financial year 2022-23. This is 14.20 per cent more than the year 2021-22.
• The AAP government will continue to provide free electricity to the agriculture sector.
