Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann revealed the names of his cabinet ministers who will be inducted into his government. One in ten ministers is a woman minister. For the first time, MLAs have gained prominence in Mann’s team as eight out of ten have become MLAs for the first time. Officials said the swearing-in ceremony of Mann’s cabinet would be held at the Punjab Raj Bhavan. Bhagwant Mann put a picture in a tweet with the names of the 10 ministers who will be sworn in as ministers.

There are 18 berths in the cabinet including that of the Chief Minister. Sources said that after taking the oath, the newly appointed minister will take charge at the Punjab Civil Secretariat and the first cabinet meeting of the AAP government will be held in the afternoon. Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bhagwant Mann at a function held at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. AAP showed a landslide victory in the 117-member Punjab Assembly by winning 92 seats, beating the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance.
