Rubik Cube Formula Sheet

Here in this article, we have brought for you Rubik Cube Formula Sheet PDF. The Rubik’s Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented by Hungarian sculptor and architecture professor Erno Rubik in 1974. Originally called the Magic Cube, the puzzle was licensed by Rubik’s, to be sold by Ideal Toy Corporation in 1980, through businessman Tibor Laxie and Seven Towns founder Tom Kramer. The Rubik’s Cube won the 1980 German Game of the Year Special Award for Best Puzzle. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide, [needs update] becoming the world’s best-selling puzzle game and best-selling toy.

On the original classic Rubik’s Cube, each of the six faces was covered by nine stickers, each one of six solid colors: white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow. Some later versions of the Cube have been updated to use colored plastic panels, which prevent peeling and fading. In the 1988 model, yellow is opposite white, green is opposite blue, red is opposite orange, and red, white, and blue are arranged in the same order in a clockwise arrangement. On the initial cubes, the positions of the colors varied from cube to cube. An internal pivoting mechanism enables each face to turn independently, thus mixing colors. To solve the puzzle, each face has to be turned back in only one color. Similar puzzles have now been drawn with different sides, dimensions, and stickers, not all by Rubik’s.

Rubik Cube Formula Sheet PDF – Summary

  • Mindset is important – learning to solve a Rubik’s Cube is difficult but if you persevere, you can solve a Rubik’s Cube.
  • Place the Rubik’s Cube on a table or use a mat like to maintain a single front face for the entire algorithm (sequence of moves).
  • Think of the algorithm as moving a piece out of the way, establishing its correct position, and then moving the piece to that location.
  • Master a layer by scrambling your Rubik’s Cube again and practicing it several times before moving on to the next layer. (Note: When solving the last layer, you can only scramble the top by applying the algorithm on page 12).
  • Learn songs and chants to help you remember the algorithm.
  • Place a small sticky note on the piece of Rubik’s Cube you’re moving so you can follow its path. While doing this consider taking a video and then watching the video.
  • Use this guide along with related resources for You Can Do Rubik’s Cube such as videos, solving checklists, and teacher guides.
