Before going to the House to present the budget, Finance Minister T. Harish Rao along with officials of the Finance Department met Chief Minister K. Meeting with Chandrashekhar Rao. The budget outlay of ₹2,56,958.51 crore included ₹1,89,274.82 crore revenue expenditure and ₹29,728.44 crore capital expenditure.

  1. The budget outlay of ₹2,56,958.51 crore included ₹1,89,274.82 crore revenue expenditure and ₹29,728.44 crore capital expenditure.
  2. Telangana’s GSD for 2021-22 is pegged at Rs 11,54,860 crore, with a growth rate of 19.1% against GDP (national) growth rate of 8.9%.
  3. Secondary Sector- Telangana recorded a growth rate of 21.5% in manufacturing and construction. The service sector posted a growth rate of 18.3%.
  4. The agriculture sector has contributed more than 20% to the GSDP. The outlay for agriculture for 2022-23 is Rs 24,254 crore.
  5. The per capita income of Telangana is up to Rs 2,78,833 in 2021-22 with a growth rate of 18.8% against the national average of Rs 1,49,848, showing a growth of 18.1%.
  6. ₹22,675 crore allocation for the irrigation sector.
  7. ₹3,330 crore was allocated for Palle Pragati, or transformation of villages, and ₹1,394 crore for Pattana Pragati or development of towns.
  8. Rs 7,289 crore allocated for Mana Oru, Mana Badi program to strengthen infrastructure in schools. For rural areas, ₹3,497 crore was allocated to 9,123 schools.
  9. ₹1,000 crore was allocated for the setting up of new medical colleges in Medak, Medchal, Rangareddy, Mulugu, Warangal, Narayanpet and Gadwal districts.
  10. The per capita expenditure on healthcare in Telangana is ₹ 1,698 as recently disclosed by the Centre.
  11. With the help of Mission Kakatiya, irrigation projects and Rythu Bandh, the total cultivated area in Telangana has increased to 2.09 crore acres in 2020-21, from 1.31 crore acres in 2014-15.
  12. The government has spent ₹ 50,448 crore on Rythu Bandhu, investment assistance to farmers, about 63 lakh farmers are given at the rate of ₹ 10,000 per acre per year
  13. Under Rythu Bandhu, the group life insurance cover provided to landholder farmers, 75,501 families have so far provided an insurance benefit of ₹ 3,775 crore at ₹ 5 lakh per family, in the event of death of the landholder farmer, irrespective of the cause of death.
  14. The government has allocated ₹1,000 crore to promote palm oil cultivation during 2022-to 23.
  15. Irrigation facility increased to 85.89 lakh acres by 2021, from just 20 lakh acres in 2014.
  16. The renovation of minor irrigation tanks, taken from Rs 5,350 crore, helped in stabilizing 15.05 lakh acres.
  17. The government has decided to provide finance (grant) at the rate of ₹ 3 lakh per beneficiary for the construction of houses for the poor. ₹12,000 crore allocated for double bedroom houses.
  18. The government will soon seek tender for Wardha Barrage, Kupti, Chennuru Lift Irrigation, Nalgonda LI, Gattu LI.
  19. The age limit for Social Security (Aasra) pension will be reduced from the present 65 to be implemented from 2022-23. ₹11,728 crore was allocated for all social security pensions.
  20. Rs 2,750 crore was allocated for Kalyan Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.
  21. A total of 4 lakh beneficiaries are to be given ₹3 lakh for construction houses at the rate of 3,000 in each assembly constituency in 2022-23.
  22. The value of IT exports from Telangana was ₹1,45,522 crore in 2021 with a growth rate of 12.98%.
  23. KCR nutrition kits will be given every year to 1.25 lakh malnourished/undernourished pregnant women and lactating mothers in the districts of Adilabad, Kumram Bheem, Bhadradri, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Mulugu, Gadwal N Kurnool.
  24. 5 lakh insurance scheme for all handloom and power loom workers like Rythu Bhima during the next financial year.
