The board is all set to conduct the 12th class exam in February – March 2022. The board has postponed the 10th and 12th class exams in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The students of 12th class can download the UP Board Date Sheet 2022 Class 12 PDF directly for commerce, arts, and science streams.

According to the official sources, the board will conduct 12th class exams from 18th February 2022. A huge number of students have applied for the UP board 12th class exam to get a certificate. The students have to prepare according to the time table to score good marks in the examination.

The Board had been experiencing considerable difficulty in controlling and conducting its activities centrally from Prayagraj. Four Regional Offices of the Board were established at Meerut(1973), Varanasi(1978), Bareilly(1981) and Prayagraj(1987) under the control of Regional Secretaries; the head office still being at Prayagraj with Secretary as the over all executive head. Now Regional Office at Ramnagar (Nainital) has been separated from U. P. Board. Presently, the Board is holding the examinations and preparing the results of nearly 64 lakh students.

Main Functions:

    • To conduct High school and Intermediate Examination.
    • To provide equivalence to the examinations conducted by other Boards.
    • To grant recognition to aspiring school.
    • To prescribe courses and text books for High school and Intermediate level.

At present there are more than 22,000 secondary schools recognized by the U.P. Board of High School and Intermediate Education. The Director of Education of the State is Ex-Officio Chairman of the Board. The Secretary of the Board is appointed by the State Government and there are eight other Ex-officio members. Following are the main sub-committees of the Board :
